Julianne Bramson and Susan Lenahan


Co-Owners of Fashion in Harmony Fabrics and Patterns. Julianne Bramson creates versatile, distinctive patterns imbued with timeless grace. Most of Julianne's designs become casual, artistic, whimsical or elegant based on the sewer's fabric and embellishment choices. Julianne is the current president of the Walnut CreekChapter. She is a regular, popular speaker at national sewing conventions and expo's.

Jane Foster

Jane Foster is a gifted artist, seamstress and clothing designer, who teaches sewing, tailoring, quilting, wearable art and clothing design. Jane has taught people of all ages and abilities for forty years, spending fifteen of those years as a color and image consultant. She is particularly adept at fitting and helping students create garments with the fit, color and style that suits them. Jane teaches locally in her Walnut Creek studio and offers sewing workshops twice a year at the Asilomar Conference Center on Monterey Bay. www.janefosterdesign.com
Gay Gerlack

Gay Gerlack, Martinez California, is the owner of Sewabration. She has a line of patterns and booklets, and is available to teach and/or speak at educational seminars. She is a member of the Sewing Educators Alliance and the American Sewing Guild.
Her designs have been featured in Threads Magazine, Sew Stylish Magazine, Designs in Machine Embroidery, and the Embroidery Journal. She has also written articles for Pattern Review.

Rachel Myers

Rachel has been a member of the American Sewing Guild since 1993 serving as Treasurer, Newsletter Editor, Chapter President, and currently as Fundraiser. She has had a passion for sewing for as long as she can remember. Rachel has taught upholstery at Mt. Diablo Adult Education where she has become known as the “Cushion Queen.”
Julia Perhac
Julia learned to sew in Jr. High School. Her love for this creative outlet lay unattended for many years as life had other priorities. She recently brushed off the cobwebs and reawakened the passion. As a working professional, Julia has adopted a "Get Going Sewing" attitude and is always in search of a new tip or strategy to maximize her sewing rewards.
Dove Pierce
Dove enjoys using haute couture techniques to the best of her ability. Her mother sewed clothes for her two daughters and so Dove did not begin sewing, by herself, until she was an expectant mother. Once she got started, she continued to sew for many years, but like many of us she stopped sewing for a period of years for reasons that are hard to explain. Dove returned to sewing a few years ago and finds that "slow sewing" is what she enjoys the most.
Kathleen Poole
Kathleen began sewing, as a very little girl, when her grandmother put a printed handkerchief, embroidery thread and a needle in her hands. She never looked back. She was a patternmaker at various San Francisco apparel manufacturing companies and taught at the San Francisco campus of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. Kathleen is a past president of the American Sewing Guild, East Bay Chapter. Next year she will be the program chairperson.
Toni Smith
Toni has been sewing and practicing a wide range of hand and machine needlework arts since the age of six. she has been machine embroidering and using machine embroidery software since 1998. She currently works on bringing multiple types of needle arts together to produce a wide variety of personal use and gift items. Toni is a long standing member of American Sewing Guild, East Bay Chapter and is the General manager at the Dublin Sewing Center. The Web site is: www.dublinsewing.com.
