Travel Case

Saturday, August 26, 2017

Jan Driscoll will show her project results and assist us all in making this project. “This is the most useful item I’ve made in a long time. It sits by my machine and I can find what I need immediately and the bag and my tools are always ready to travel!”

For greatest success at making a truly useful case, gather the tools you use most and bring them to the meeting. Together we will lay them out and design the holder pockets—width and length.

Fabric requirements:

FABRIC: 2/3 yard or 3 fat quarters (or amount needed to fit your tools)
BATTING: 1 – 7 ½” x 17” piece and 1 – 7 ½” x 5” piece (or amount needed to fit your tools)
VELCRO: 1 – 1” X 31/2” piece

NOTIONS: sewing machine and usual sewing tools/supplies

Please access the brochure with fabric requirements: Travel Case Class Brochure

*P3designs has generously donated patterns to our chapter!

NOTE: This design can be adjusted to any size to fit your tools!

Space for 24 to 26 sewing machines – please reserve a space!
Observers always welcome and buddying up at machines is encouraged!!

The fee is $15.00 for members and $25. for non-members.

Bring your lunch.

Zippy Notions Bag

Posted by on Jul 14, 2017 in Programs | 0 comments

The Zippy Notions Bag is a multi-zippered bag with storage space in and between 2 zippered pockets and a convenient front tray. When the front tray lies down it becomes a handy place for your sewing notions which keep them contained while you sew. Stops tools from rolling away!

PLEASE read the brochure and have your pieces cut before you arrive. Your preparation gives you a chance to actually finish this project by the end of the day.
